PHP7.2とFuelPHP1.8の組み合わせでget_class()のエラー

出てきたエラー

Fuel\Core\PhpErrorException [ Warning ]:
get_class() expects parameter 1 to be object, null given

「PHP7.2でFuelPHPがエラーになるのを何とかする」の対処方法が載ってた
